This practical 3 day training course will cover new skills required to supervise novice groups on single pitch crags. In addition, personal climbing plays a big part of the course. A typical training course outline will look like this:
Itinerary
Day 1 |
We spend the day looking at your personal rock climbing skills with emphasis on your technical skills such as lead climbing and belay construction. Access and conservation issues will be part of Day 1. |
Day 2 |
We will look at all aspects of group management and new techniques for looking after novices in rock climbing as well as abseiling. |
Day 3 |
We will cover all aspects of indoor climbing at our local Indoor climbing wall. Please note that the cost of entry is £6. At the end of the day we will do individual debriefs so that you know what to work on for Assessment. |
