This practical 6 day course will cover the technical and group management skills required to lead groups in the mountainous areas of the UK in non winter conditions.
A typical training course outline will look like this:

- Mountain day with emphasis on navigation skills

- All aspects of security on steep ground

Mountain safety & theory
- Mountain safety & emergency procedures
- River crossings
- Expedition preparation

Day 5

Expedition
- Morning meet 10.30am.
- Depart for overnight expedition
- Navigation and leadership
- Camp craft
- Night navigation

Day 6

Expedition continued..
- Navigation and leadership
- Return from expedition
- Debriefs
- End of course approx. 4-6pm
